Situated beside the quaint little village of Ballysteen, these 300 year old cottages have been lovingly restored. Steeped in history and looking onto the 800 year old Beagh Castle you will be staying on the site of an ancient Viking settlement!
The castle itself has a chequered history, built by the Fitzgeralds of Desmond as an outpost fortification in the 13th century.
Take a stroll along the shore to the little sandy beach and forage for the plentiful seaweed or relax in the on-site Iverus Café, where you can enjoy a pizza and a glass of wine, while looking out our panoramic window at stunning views of the Shannon Estuary.
If you are looking for a wedding with a difference, then Beagh Castle could be the perfect location for you. Just a 5 minute drive from the beautiful St. Patricks Church, a marquee wedding can offer everything you need to create the most memorable day of your life.
There are five holiday cottages looking out at the castle and onto the water. The 300 year old cottages have recently been restored but still feel like you have travelled back in time. They were originally lived in by soldiers and later became Coastguard cottages. Two of the cottages have a family room with a King and single bed, along with a comfortable couch bed downstairs. Pets are wecome as long as they stay outside. There is plenty space for them to run around and play. WiFi is available in all of the cottages.
